Why does the UK continue to get better models (Evo X FQ360)

Sorry if this has been talked about a lot already but I haven't been on this site for a long time. For some reason I guess I was surprised when reading the Top Gear review of the Evo X and noticed in Jeremy Clarkson's review he was referring to an FQ version. I thought (mistakenly) the newest generation X would be the same on either side of the pond but apparently not. 360hp for their version is nice. What's up with that anyway?

Keep in mind that our cars are much less expensive as well. For about half the price of the FQ-400, you could buy a new Evo X and modify it to have more power and a better suspension setup.

That is because the Colt company of the UK make these special edition FQ versions after getting it from japan.

because they are jealous of us? I mean come one we have sports cars with 8.3ltr engines! (viper) they have to make themselves feel better by excluding us.

I think it's due to emissions restriction, and cause the upgrades and add-ons make pump up the price too much and mitsu knows they wont sell ONE of them here (though if I had the money, like i've mention before, I'd buy it...)

Yeah that's most likely the true reason. I'm sure there are a hand ful of people that would happily buy an FQ but the majority would say hell no. It would just be nice to have that option though.

They also have the market for those cars in Europe. Mitsu can barely sell Evos for $35-40k in the states, and there's not a chance they would sell at $70k+ here.

^+1 on that!!! No way would I'd pay $70,000 unless its a true-bred rally edition evo.
