Here in Cinci area gas can be found for 1.63 gal for reg gas. But with the traffic log jams around here, I dont let it get below a quarter tank. Learned my lesson passing up a GAS exit only to be delayed by car wreck ahead. I saw the Yellow screen and thought never again!

its just a lancer, not the evo. they recommend 87 octane since its just an N/A 4 banger, no turbo or insane performance mods that would require higher octane

That is one of my few gripes with my X, miles left doesn't work once the gas low warning comes on, which seems backwards thats when I need it most.

Crap, I just bumped a thread from 2008, sorry.

Since this thread is over 2 years old it should probably be closed cause I was thinking the same thing about gas being below 2 bucks. Good job bumbing an old thread.

refuel light came on

I left work, my screen said 30 mile. I get home to park, while parking, the refuel light came on. I just don't get it, if I had 30 miles all the way home, why would the light come on? From work to home is 5 miles if that. I just need to know if I can make it to work safely, without being stranded, and fill up tonight

Nice bump. Seeing these low gas prices is making me depressed

So glad I decided to keep my Civic as my DD.

Why not just leave 5m early and fill up to avoid getting stranded and having to deal with the outcome? ... not to mention the additional stress you put on your fuel pump when you run your car with extra low fuel.

4 Y/O thread brought back from the dead...

Who the hell really wants to take the chance of running out of gas when it only costs $2.50 per gallon?

When i first bought the evo i wanted to strech it to see about how far i could go with the gas light on. It made it about 50 miles but if you decieded to get on the gas it would bog a little bit so i quickly went and got gas lol. So i would say around 50 or 60 is all you will get depending on driving habits. But i agree its much easier just to get gas before that point lol.

varies on driving conditions, i personally wouldnt go more than 20 miles. instead of sweating and pondering when u will run out, y not just go get gas.
