Clear bra.
I did the front + half the hood, side skirts, mirrors and fenders. Looks great and cannot see unless very dirty or look close.
Word of advice, instead of using the piece that comes with the kit for the portion behind the back door, get them to cut a different cut so that it wraps into the door gap where alot of the chips happen (look at the picts from those who have had issues with the Evo or STi).

Seems like many of the dealers/distributors with their own Clear Bra name utilize the 3m product. "ClearBra", "3M Paint Protection Film", "Clear Shield", "InvisiShield", "InvisiGuard", "StoneShield". Xpel used to sell 3M but as of 2007 now sells their own manufacturered materials. "UltraShield" is another name, as is "Avery" and "ScotchGuard". Several local firms recommend the "VentureShield" over the 3M product, stating that is is more "clear", 8mil thick and good to 20lb of force before tearing. Many dealers who don't sell the 3M talk about yellowing and orange peel with 3M, as well as not a clear as the others and being more obvious on the car. Of course when speaking to the 3M dealers, they prefer the 3M product stating that it has been around the longest and has a proven track record and is the strongest material available, and that yellowing may only occur on a white car.
There were differences of opinion about washing and waxing the products. 3M seems to be fine with any wash and wax method. Some Venture dealers said do not wax at all or you will scratch the material, while others said that waxing as usual is fine, even with an orbital machine. Don't know who is correct there. Several dealers for Venture said that the material did not have a clear coat and that is why you have to be careful, but other Venture dealers said that the company makes both a unsealed and a clear coated product and although the clear coated product is more money, it should be the only one purchased and it can be washed and waxed in any fashion without the fear of scratching, and equivilant to the 3M it terms of wear. VentureShield was recently purchased by 3M!
In speaking with many installers today, it seems that most prefer the Xpel templets as they are the most accurate, although they have to pay a license fee to use and download them.

Maybe you can shed some light on this subject. Is the generic referenced "3M" film the same as the 3M "Scotchguard" Paint Protection"film?
How do you compare this film to the other manufactures film in terms of thickness, resistance to impact, color fading, clarity, easy of installation, etc.? Who are the main manufacturer's of film today, not distributors or resellers?

This thread and its title is the best place to list all manufacturers of paint protection film, as well as listing available pattern and material data.
Any additional information to add anyone?

I got the xpel kit. It comes with a seven year warranty. If it yellows, I'll just have them redo it again. I have it on my WW X and can't see the clear bra unless you're really looking up close. It gives me peace of mind not having to worry about rock chips. Thought I had my car covered and flawless until I got rattles coming from my glove box and other areas in the car. I'm told that's a mitsu trait. How sad.. :-(
Anyone used this http://www.clearmask.com/
