Clear bra.

So I got quoted two prices from two different dealers.

3M dealer - 750 ----
omputer cut hood, bumper, fender, rocker panel and wheel arches using 3M XPEL.

clearshield/Laminix --- 500 or so...
- computer cut hood, bumper, fender
- hand cut/made rocker panel and rear wheel arches

Which would you take?

I went with this kit, total front bumper coverage, half the hood, mirrors, door edges, rear door panels, head light kit, etc.. So far so good on the kit, installed it myself.

I can get you the lamin x because im a dealer for them. I dont charge but what they cost me. The lamin x is a better quality and you cant tell its on the car unless your right up on it. Also the lamin x fades clear and deosnt turn yellow. I have had experience with the 3m which doesn. Lamin x stuff is def good stuff. I use it on all my cars and friends cars. Clear bras headlights and taillights. Pm me if your interested.

Which kit did you get? 3M? And how much/where did you get it from?

I definetly want to look into a clear bra also. Thanks.

I had a full clear bra put on mine; front bumper, mirrors, rockers, front fenders, hood, header over the windshield and behind the rear wheels. For that and full window tint I paid about $1200.

Do you guys have trouble with the edges? The edge of the rear door where that little bit of film is installed from the factory has a nice little line of dirt all the way around it. I don't want to slide anything along it in case it gets under the film and it starts to peel up, and a plain sponge can't clear it out.

I noticed it on a Mustang that had a clear bra also. That would annoy the crap outta me. Any tips?

Ooops, forgot the relevant part: I had a quote for $710 from a 3M dealer for the same coverage as your quote. That one, at least, seems about right.

Try using a detail brush like one that you would use to remove wax from in between cracks, etc.

I just had mine done for $850.

Given what my IX looks like (if you breathe on it, it wil chip), I feel it's money well spent.
