lol you dont track much, those are tow hooks for towing the car on the track
You must not either since you agreed with the guy who said "how much does it help anyway?" Yes, the M3 you took a picture of looks awful as hell, there's a few Porsches I've seen around here all "beered" out (because beer is the rice of Germany) and they make me sick to my stomach. BUT, anyone who's had even a little bit of seat time can tell you how much a spoiler makes a difference on the track. AMS's 1100 hp car doesn't have one because it doesn't need to turn. Have you seen their Time Attack Evo? Last I saw it, it had a bigger spoiler setup than I had ever seen before. Why? Because a spoiler helps, a lot! Especially in a RWD car like the M. We put a spoiler on the S2k, without any other changes that took a 90 mph sweeper and turned it into a ~110 mph sweeper with the exact same level of confidence etc. Trust me, they help....

P.S. I have an SCCA competition license instruct regularly. How much track time do you have?
I have 0 track time. Not really, but I'm not sure of the relevance, the only reason I even made that comment is because you were rude enough to make that same comment/assumption just because he hadn't seen tow hooks.
This is what I was talking about.
umm ye, good argument - since an S2000 benefited from a spoiler, so now lets throw a giant wing on an M3 for similar effect.... i now totally agree that a new M3, as perfectly optimized & maximized (in every way including aerodynamics) at the factory as it may be, it was just lacking that Evo 8 wing. it felt naked without it!

The wing on the OP one is ugly, and probably useless because his car is likely never tracked. But if he did, I'm sure it would see a little bit of benefit unless the airflow on it is messed up because it isn't the proper application.

I realize it is useless at low speeds, that's why car's like mine and the Veyron have automatic spoilers. I wasn't arguing that anyway, nor was I arguing that the one you took a picture of made sense. It is fugly, and like you said, I'm sure the guy doesn't track it. The one with the black table though... I'm sure that helps greatly.

Only civics and integras."
So altezza lights on an altezza...is that rice too?Agian just becuz you dont like something doesnt mean we all have to think the same way.
Rice is adding something useless...Like Blue LED, Flame, and Stickers. You know the guys with an Evo that add E V O L U T I O N on their trunk.....thats rice to me but it might not be to you

So you're saying that the aerodynamic upgrades on that racing M3 posted earlier would NOT help, because the M3 was already perfectly optimized and maximixed (in every way, including aerodynamics) from the factory?

what Im saying is that the upgrades on the that track-ready M3 and the "upgrades" on that 'thing' rollin around the NJ turnpike, that used to be a brand new M3, have nothing in common, other than they are both called wings.
