If the OP is really getting a brand new 08 Evo X GSR, doesn't matter what options, could be base for all I care, for $23K...

Then I will publicly commit to buying one myself, even though I already own an Evo X MR. That's a killer price for a GSR, even a used one, and I need another track car.

There is a chain of 6 dealerships within 100 miles of where i live that are ALL for sale right now......one of them being a Mitsubishi Dealer!

I already talked to them, since the JUST put them up for sale...they arent too desperate at the moment.

Give it a few months, the economy, and society reacting to "change" by an inexperienced man....and they WILL be discounting cars, parts etc!....juts hope it doesnt get sold fast!

If the owner is selling SIX dealerships...that says something, and also says that very soon they will be desperate for sales.

ps- i did vote for Obama-yet i feel it is damn amazing that so many want 'change' but the day its official that he's the next president, everyone focuses on his 'inexperience' which didnt seem to matter or even enter their mind during the election!

He probably doesn't want anyone else to hinder the deal he's made with a sudden influx of EVO 8 & 9 owners looking to buy...but this deal does sound a bit off...

<grin> You mean the 5-6 folks posting to this thread? I can't recall a single discussion pointing to the X on the pre-X forums. If anything, it's the exact opposite for reason that have been discussed at length.

This is misleading. He is including the trade as part of the deal. It sounds he got a Evo base for $29k which is good but not unheard of.

The OP mentions that it's a X with SSS and navi. A base GSR for $29K is pretty good. But throw in SSS and navi and, for $29K, you have an insane deal. The only way that this could work is if a) they're planning on selling his trade for significantly more than they're paying him and/or b) the dealer is getting a kickback from the bank in terms of the interest rate. Now if the dealer would sell a loaded GSR for $29K OTD with 0% and no trade-in that would be the most favorable deal I've ever heard of.
