Rotors

Hey guys, I have a quick question about the brake rotors. How do you prevent rust build up on your brake rotors. After I washed my car yesterday I notice that it has started. How do you stop that sh**.

Once you drive around a bit, the rust will go away. Nothing you can do to prevent it.

Mask off each rotor before you wash the car. Thats about the only thing you can do. This is normal though.

+1 it goes away, in about the first 5 miles of braking.

Yeah that rust happens on every car. Even the ones sitting on the dealership lot. Wash the car and the rotors instantly turn rusty. Happens all the time.

But like the above poster said, as soon as you drive off and brake one or two times the rust will be polished right off. Nothing to worry about.

Everytime it rains rust appears on nearly all rotors.
