I have a somewhat odd and nitpicky question.

On the underside of the hood and if you are facing the car, where the two front vents are located, I have a piece of weather stripping on the right vent (the one that is over the intake box), but not on the left. I was wondering if this is correct, or am I missing the left side? Would one of you mind taking a look on your own car to confirm?

Yes, it's just on the one side.

 

I don't notice the piece that I'm referring to on that illustration, but thank you Russell. It's a small piece that runs the length of the vent and is mounted on the front side of the vent, and thank you Q15H for confirming this for me.

 

Iirc it "seals" against the air stop on the intake snorkel just past the radiator. If I have a chance I'll snap a pic of it on my red X.
