6sp gearbox from HKS ?
i have zero idea how transmission works.... is the EvoX transmission housing big enough to install the 6th gears?? i just can't picture how a 5sp transmission have the extra room for more gears.

So if its a new gearing pattern how much do you guys think this would run this is somthing i would def look into. I had driving on the highway at 4000rpms for a long time. Cant be to good for the engine. Rather be crusin at 300 at 80mph plus it would be a lot quieter.

I would like a 6-speed along with the rest of you guys, but you guys are WAY to excited this early in the game. Here's what we don't know:
1. Is it a dogbox tranny (no syncro's)
2. Is it straight cut gears (more noise)
3. Does it have a matching final drive ratio
4. is it designed to be used with a custom xfer case and/or rear diff.
We need more info...Price is the least of my concerns right NOW.

Out of curiosity.. why do so many of you want 6-speed manuals? Having spent time in both 5-spd and 6-spd EVO 9s.. I really don't feel like it's worth it. You just spend a lot more time rowing through gears..
