I liked the look of it, but after not having had the kit for the last 10 months I can totally say I could care less and am glad I saved the money. The ground clearance is very much appreciated, especially since my other toy is much lower.

No, that's the science behind the new Evo X body design compared to the Evo IX...not the aero package in specfic.

Personally i think it makes the car look less liek the ralliart and that is somehting that i liek about it. it seems to me to make it more aggressive.

I think you have that backwards...

...the RalliArt looks like the Evo...

Darwin if you look at the chart on the first page it has data points for both Standard and Lancer Evolution X (with under floor air guide etc.) and the Lancer IX so it does compare the aero kit vs normal vs the IX.
Why the twist in there is the same reason airplane wings are twisted - (i'm an aero Eng so i should know) - it basically changes the Coefficient of Lift so more downforce is created and however with more lift is more drag so the point is to increase lift on the wing (which is shaped to create downforce) while reducing the amount of drag (hence the curve)... the vortices created by the rear windshield can significantly increase drag if the wing is the same shape all along the car. However all of this only starts making a bigger impact the faster you go... if you are tooling around at 50 mph avg it makes a little difference but up around 80-90 you can have significant effects (look at F1 cars and all the crazy wing shapes). Aero kits on the body tend to reduce the amount of air going under the car thus reducing the lift created ... hence less drag

Why then are all the pictures & figures featured are all of the Evo X without the aero package? Why is there no specific mention of the aero package?

I think it's because they focus on the things that come on all Evo X models and not just the aero kit. Quote from the paper
"A lift reduction device represented by a front air dam
and a rear spoiler are normally effective in reducing the
lift at the front or the rear alone. The remarkable feature
of the new air guide is that it reduces both the front
and rear lift in a well-balanced manner depending on
where it is installed (Fig. 11). In the LANCER EVOLUTION
X, the air guide was set in the optimum position
in consideration of the balance between the front and
rear lift of the standard model."

I went to the dealership not wanting it but I left with it. With the deal I got, it basically came The car looks much more aggressive with it. I'm now lowering the car and I think it will prove to be an issue.

I didnt say it didnt look good or didnt have functionality... just meant that being OEM, its going to be similar to every other evo that picks up that package so you lose your unique-ness. Also for the huge price they charge you can get some pretty good named pieces and still provide the same functionality.

Plus... along with some others, my side skirts are starting to seperate from the body. Im thinking of fabricating some new brackets or something to get the to fit better and to stay in place.

Sorry, but I still think you are wrong in thinking that article has anything to do specifically to the "Aero Package" option.

No where is the "Aero Package" mentioned, nor are there any pictures / figures / or diagrams that feature any part of it either. My GSR has everything that is mentioned in that article, and I don't have the "Aero Package" installed.

i really love the look of the aero kit, just couldn't really justify spending that much extra for it. i think ill just go with an aftermarket front lip.

you should get the aerokit....my ww evo is said to be the last one in socal...and nothing match with what i wanted at the beginning..i wanted SSS and nav package...but somehow it only comes with the aero kit package...the aero kit does look nice however, and it give the evo a much more aggressive look. SSS + nav package can be replaced with aftermarket parts which would be cheaper than 4k..
