Aero Worth It???

I've been looking at buying the 08 Evo (But still may hold out for the 2010 in the summer/fall) and I've been wondering if the aero kit is worth getting. I tend to feel the car looks better with it or lower.

But is it worthwhile or are aftermarket kits a better deal. SSS and Nav are a must of course. There are a lot of cars without the aero.

Thanks,

R

It looks ok... but the fitment is horrid and the aftermarket parts you can get for cheaper end up looking and fitting better.

Instead of Aero... get a nice carbon front lip, some jun side skirts or something and then a rear bumper like the accolade or cwest bumpers.

The aerodynamics wing might not be the design in style, nevertheless, the engineering behind the shape works nicely. The new airflow from around the C pillars to the wing's inner edges channels seemingly so fine that I had an headache thinking about it.

when purchasing my car, seeing it lined up against a non-aero kitted x, i knew i had to have it. it looked way better with it than without it. plus it gave that lowered look which was a plus since i'm staying with stock ride height.

I wanted it when I first started looking at the X, but now that I have one without it, I really do like it better. I also like my base model shorter wing although it gets in the way of the rear view a lot. I'd rather spend the 1,500 or so that the invoice costs on a few mods.

I also have heard a few guys say they have actually had their side skirts fall completely off.

best part of the aero kit is less rock chips, looks good, and also vs the carbon fiber or fiber glass. Much more durable. yes you will loose the rubber part but you can glu it back. What you going to do when the CF and the FG will start cracking etc?
I had both CF and FG front lip. No MORE.

The kit compliments the fender flares very well and gives it a more aggressive look. The downside is that the side skirts have fitment issues and it extends so far out that its easy to step on (of course, that's also what makes them look great). The front lip looks great and has the added benefit of covering up the plastic section in the front ground effects, and the rear extenders look good together with the diffuser

Ironically it was Sam@South Coast who advised me NOT to get the aero-kit, after watching my girlfriend struggle to get out of the car without using the sideskirt as a step. I had some regrets not getting it but now that my car is lowered, there's no way I could get around with a lip

I love mine but when lowering the car, you have to think twice. Well, it looks good with or without it. Just the aero kit makes the car looks bigger.
