Welcome to Korea Town, where you can't find non-valet parking.

I don't have the valet parking card, they took it from me.

I've decided I'm going to call my insurance handler and complain.

Did you happen to file a police report when this happened? It would go a long way in helping you prove the valet damaged your car. If you don't have a police report, it's going to be tough to get them to pay.

Good luck. I hope it gets worked out for you.

No but I knew I should have...but the last time I got in an accident and called the cops it was impossible to get through to them. Used my phone and my friends and with both we constantly got "all the lines are busy, please try calling again."

911's not very effective.

And it made it even more difficult because we weren't on public property.

I know I sort of dug a hole for myself in this situation..

If it's the bumper that's bulging out you should be able to pop it back in no problem.

You might want to find a new insurance agent who actually takes care of you. You need to get your insurance to talk to either the valet or the valet's insurance. If they are not proactively helping you out on such a small issue, you shouldn't be relying on them for anything in the future. Also file a complaint against the idiot inspector who insisted that your lip was aftermarket.

Sorry for what happened to your car.

Things I just realized that I'm very thankful for after reading your thread here:

1) I don't have the Aero Package

2) I don't live in California

3) So far I've never had to let a stranger drive my Evo.

Any valet company worth its salt should have a claim form that you fill out on the spot. I know, as I worked for a valet company (one of the few with its crap together).

Valet company should also have insurance, because if they don't, you can sue the restaurant for the damages the valet company caused since THEY (the restaurant) contracted with the valet co. but didn't check for proof of insurance.
