2008 EVO X MR, launched it and about 30 feet out it went flat and the dash literally said SLOW DONE. What gives?

I think it does that when the SST thinks it's getting hot. Did it have a gear symbol in the yellow warning screen?

 

mine did the same thing when I tried to power brake it to launch...but when I used the launch control it did just fine.

 

Please read your manual and learn how to properly use the launch control and also explains most of the warning that pop up. That one is covered on the manual.

Read the manual, it tells you all about it.
It's either over heating, cause your beating the ****** car.
or you did not turn off traction control and have the trans in Super sport when you launched the car.
You must have the trans in super-sport and traction control off to launch the car.

 

It happend on me on my GSR. Trying to exit at a 40mph turn at 80mph. Gives me a SLOW DOWN warning. I forgot to press ASC OFF.

Turn it off when doing stunts!

Thanks for the feedback, I need to read the manual again, I guess I missed that it would give that specific message and display. Question, before the first launch I put it in SS, hold the ASC button in until it beeps, now is that good for just that launch and I would have to hold it for the beep before any additional launches?
