Since my topic was closed by the admin, ill post here. And Mr Admin I've read all the threads in the Helpful FAQ section and none speaks about the 2009 Version coming everywhere other than US.

Exactly, they skipped the year - we didn't get a 09 model.

The rest of your questions have been answered and many can be found in the sticky provided.

hey guys so i dunno wtf is going on
i went to the platinum mitsubishi dealer here in calgary to get some numbers for my evo x
so here it goes

2008- still have 0% for 48 months
and guess what

they have the 2009 gsr's in stock
he even showed me his price sheet
the 2009 gsr's and mr's have the following differences that i saw
they come with ralliart taillights
and the rear bumper is more like the uk FQ400 versions (except for the exhaust hole)
the sales man even told me that id be the first person in calgary to have the 09' gsr
but guess what the 0% financing is not available for them
ill have to pay 4.8% for up to 60months
or 5.8% for over that
ive seen the sheets and the cars with my own eyes so i guess canada got the 09's

Yes thats what I told in a different thread i started but admin closed it.

There's a few big dealers that already have the 2009 Evolution here in Canada.

Did the salesman told you anything about problems they fixed that were on the 2008 ? Like the seats staples, rattles or things like that ?

Cause here the guy had no idea what would be changes on the 2009, he only told me that there is a few 09 in quebec already and like chopstixx said the financing has raised on the 09. Oh and yes we have the RS version too which will only be 1k less than a GSR, thats what sales guy told me.

I think only Canada will received the 2009. Maybe we won't see a 2010 model ?

Chop : Have you seen the price on the 2009 GSR ? The guy here couldn't even tell me. I had such a bad service.

You haven't heard of the RS Version ?

It's the same thing as the GSR But :
- Wingless
- No radio
- No A/C
- Lighter than the GSR

The guy said its for those who wants to strip out everything on the car and make a drag, track or rally car.

Oh and forgot to say, I bought my Evo X 2008 GSR ! at 1.8% financing.

He told me that if I picked up a 2009 it would be 5.8% financing so I went with a 08.

I own an X and considering the XI is a few months away I do not regret my choice. I got 0% apr for 60 months not to mention I bought the car at invoice price. When the XI comes out there will be no special offers or deductions. The car dealers are going to be shrewd as all hell when it comes to pricing. There might be small changes in the new model but it's doubtful that there will be substantial changes. They could really mess up and make the XI a FWD though.

Oh really? The XI is coming in a few months, not the 2010 X?

This dealer in Chicago (Bensenville really) keeps calling me and I get anywhere from 1-4 voicemails a day when I get out of work (no reception @ work) saying anything from "we just got our last shipment of the new Evos in stock" to "and since this is the last year for this car" bullshyte...

No, what he said is a little off base.
2010 is still a X, not XI.
No Evo is ever gonna be FWD.

+1 that would be slapping the evo name and all of its heritage in the face.

I'm personally going to take advantage of the sick pricing on the 2008 X. if what I found online is accurate the 2010 X is cool but not enough changed that I 'have to have it'. especially for thousands more if they only sell for MSRP which I'm sure they will for the first year at least.

RS has a rear wing, and can be spec-ed with A/C, Brembos etc etc. It had base lancer seats as standard, gravel spec (crap) brakes and no sound proofing, about 200lbs lighter
