I've had the same experiences as most on this thread. My wife wouldn't even ride in my 8 or 9 if she could help it. The 10 is a little more civil so she'll ride without comments, but she's still not impressed. These are performance cars, not a pretty accessory.

most girls i know think it's a lancer with a wing, but then again, they're idiots. still, my gf prefers to ride in the g35.

 

 

My wife loves the Evo X, and riding in it. So do my daughters.

Today some of the girls at work came out just as I started it to go home, and they raved about it too!

 

Females really liked my 2002 bugeye wrx impreza. The evo not so much. Well, they thinks it's the same until they ride in it...My mother really liked my old wrx and actually thought about buying it from me.

I was told that the wrx made me seem responsible and comfortable with my masculinity by not having to have a flashy car, but having some fun factor anyways. The evo seems like it cost too much and rides stiff etc, even though it only cost about $6000 more and maybe less adjusted for inflation.

The main thing is that cops don't give it a second thought and I really like that.

Maybe because it is. No doubt its a very fast lancer & have a mouthful name like Lancer Evolution X MR & a price tag to match, its still a lancer with a wing.
