A baffle would help this issue or an "ice box" around the filter element to block the cross-flow of air from the radiator fans.

Thanks for stepping in.

Now release the COBB airbox

Wait you had an erratic idle even with the AC off? Hmm Ive noticed it with my stock box only a few times when stopped at a light or something.

I love mine setup.

I am just going to get a heatshield for it next week. If COBB ever comes out with the box. I'll get it then.

I am getting the Short version, since it will fit the COBB perfect, I think.

Then just prime it and paint it black. Should look good.

It should be here tomorrow. So I'll let you know how it will work out.

But I measured the COBB cone filter length and the short one should fit nicely.

I'll post pictures.

I just bought a ams heat shield a few days ago for half the price of the MAP one, so that's why I'm wondering if the ams will work with the cobb sf.

Not yet...i still haven't even bought a intake...i'm torn between the AEM or the Harman Motive intake...I'd love to buy the cobb intake, but no one has confirmed whether the AMS heat shield fits on it.
