Gauges...

Does anybody have a simple solution for a Boost Guage and A/F Guage setup?

What I am ideally looking for is a setup such as the Defi White Racer Boost Guage which uses the standalone sensor mounted in the engine bay. So for example, You hook up the sensor to the boost line in the engine bay, then wire your guage into the drivers fusebox and you have to run no wires (besides to the location of your guage) through your firewall or other route. However to my knowledge Defi has no A/F guage which does not require a main unit.

I was looking at the AEM guages but you have to run the boost line through the firewall or other route to your engine bay. (Not a big deal, but the concept of the defi guage is much more appealing to me)

Anyways, does anybody know of a manufacturer who offers a standalone boost guage and a A/F guage?

Sorry for the confusing description... hope you guys can understand it.

I went with AEM for Boost and AFR.

Going through the firewall is simple enough. The AEM is electronic, so you aren't routing vacuum hosing through the firewall grommet, but a couple wires.

I hadn't seen anyone run the Defi through the fusebox. I thought it was more or less a similar setup to the AEM.

You dont have to run vacuum hosing through the firewall, just to a sensor?
The defi uses a remote sensor, so basically if you wire the guage to your driver fusebox for power, your boost reading is transmitted from the engine bay, so no need to run wires through the firewall or other route.
I probably will just go with AEM though, they are quality and look real nice .

You can add sensors to that kit - shows A/F, boost, EGT...

Yeah but Im looking for standalone guages.. I dont really need a main unit to log data or anything, and I really think all I need is Boost and Wideband AF. So I think standalone is the way to go...

No, a pressure transducer sits in the engine bay. (See picture)

I ran the wiring harness for the transducer through the main firewall grommet, and to my gauge above the headunit.

It's very easy to keep it cleanly routed.

This might be the route I go, I thought you had to run VAC line through the firewall. Thanks very much for the picture.
