Should I grab the Nav?

Dropped off my X today. To get some warranty work done to it, and saw the nav. unit displayed at the parts dept. I said to myself, damn that looks nice. Pictures dont do justice. $2200 installed. What do you think?

if you really like it and have the means why not, otherwise wait around here or ebay and you should find them cheaper.

Do the Navs pop up on E-bay frequently?

No they don't show up on eBay that frequently.

The Nav, when pre-installed in the car is ~$1600 from SC. $2300 is likely a bit steep and they'd want you to pay to install it I'm sure (you need a dash kit to do it, which is some more money). Just keep that in mind.

Personally I wouldn't have the car without nav, bluetooth and steering wheel controls (all of which I had the dealer add when I bought the car).

As far as factory navs go I think it's great. Doesn't cripple everything when the car is in motion like the wife's Lexus does too.

The Nav is good, but after market navs are just as good. Its not worth 2200 to install. If you didnt get it from factory its not worth it anymore. Do some research on after market head units w/ nav. They look just as good if not better.

I say skip it. I ponied up for it but if i could go back i'd just get an aftermarket unit that is nicer for cheaper.

oh and your only gonna have a 12month/12mile warranty on it now i believe since you didn't buy it with the car.

I love the NAV. It's very useful and makes the interior look 10x better.

There's other threads in here with plenty of information on this topic..

I love how the mods are all over this forum shutting down threads one day, then the next it's like they really don't care. Consistency is key guys. And don't try to tell me I Don't know what I'm talking about, because I've been running a message board since before this one was even a twinkle in anyone's eye...

the nav is not worth 2k... MitsusbishiParts.net has it for less than 1,000 and I still think it aint worth it... but if u like it, go for it (the cheaper one though)
