Strange fluid in the trunk?

Strange fluid in the trunk?

does anyone have any idea what this is??? i opened the trunk to pad the stock sub box to keep the trunk funk down... and when i remove the spare tire this is what i see....







does anyone have any idea why an OIL type substance would be in my trunk???

weird... looks like used motor oil. clean it up and see if it reappears - although it's more likely some guy just spilled it before you got the car.

I wonder if that's your AYC fluid reservoir leaking. Check the fluid container that is behind the little door in the right side of your trunk.

Seems strange... The only think in the vacinity is the reservior tank for ACD/AYC. Have you taken a look at the tank, or checked the cap?

Turbo cars use up oil and that's a good place to store a 1 litre top up bottle..probably leaked

Clean it up properly and have a look later on to free your mind

edit: realized your probably 1st owner so no that's not normal and it should not be there i go with what FLK said in the 2nd post

its not ayc.. that fluid is redish... not dark like that..

cleaned up and after about two hours of driving havnt seen anything new.. i guess maybe a service tech at the mitsu joint must have spilled something in there when they were servicing the car..

quite intersting!!
Joking! for me is evident that is the reservoir tank that you have in the right side inside the trunk.
look in detail your photos and you will see a clear trace of liquid coming from the right to the center.
