38 mile commute for me. About 85% highway. With the cruise set at 72, I have been averaging about 21-22mpg.

Hope that helps!

man i feel for all of you stuck up in the DC metro area. I moved south to get away from all that craziness. I may have a ten mile commute (which everyone round here thinks that is crazy long) but at least it isn't stop and go with a three to four hour rush "hour"

I do about 10 each day on the freeway, it isn't bad at all, love it. Stop and go traffic never bothers me, like someone else said: it's not like all you can do is drive to and from work. Then we'd all work at ranger stations up the canyons My gf works up in Park City which is about a 25-30 min drive for her up I-80, but it is real twisty because it goes through the mountains, she loves it in the Mini I wouldn't want to drive over 20 min for work each way, too much gas money... She doesn't mind since she averages about 30 mpg on the trip. (Like 25 up hill and 36 downhill)

60 miles round trip each day commute to work and back home. I now have a beater to drive to work while I can enjoy the Evo on the weekends.

about 28 miles round trip, mostly suburban driving, 40mph speed limits with lights every mile or so. get around 19 mpg for pump calculations (car says 22-23 but pump says differently).

8 mile commute. 15 minutes if that. I see an Aston Martin V8 vantage everyday at the same time going the opposite direction. Its a pleasurable view and I look forward to it lol. For those of you who live in Northern NJ, I commute from Parsippany to Madison. I287->I24->Park Ave->Main Street/124 East

7.1 total miles

Out at 8:15am
1.1 mile at 25mph to get it gently warmed up
.5 mile at 40mph to get to the freeway
4.5miles on freeway at 60-80mph (sometimes more). I also always gun it when getting on the freeway unless someone is in front of me.
1 mile at 50mph to my office

If all green lights, as little as 9 minutes
If all red lights, as much as 14 minutes
I am going the opposite direction of traffic, always. The opposite side of the freeway is always SLAMMED

Sometimes I'm on the bike, sometimes I'm in the Evo, sometimes I'm in my truck

I'm driving daily averaging at least 90-100 miles a day (have different clients every day). I do run into alot of stop and go traffic on the way to work and on the way back. I have been hitting 22-23mpg by calculation when I fill up and also according to the car.

yo!

80 miles a day solid.

freeway about 95%

On my way to work If I got time I cruise at about 65-70 and get average 22mpg "up hill"

One my way home I am not in a hurry at all so I literally go about 60-65 average anywhere between 25mpg - 27mpg.

THE HIGHEST MPG I EVER GOT WAS 29.0 mpg i couldnt get it passed that but that was going 60mph straight for 40 minutes

i live 5 miles away from work ... commute on Hawthorne in socal and it gets interesting when i'm cruising at posted speed limits. People are in a rush these days to get somewhere (coming from hawaii so it's a bit high pace up here in cali). But I benefit from getting 18-20 mpg. Not too shabby since i fill up gas about every 1.5 weeks

My work commute is jockeying for position with an instrument of precision. Basically, it is navigating a 400HP car through varying levels of traffic; it makes me feel like an air traffic controller in a busy airport, but I am flying the plane. On a good day, I have a 25 minute commute. On a really bad day, it might take over an hour. It starts out with about 8 miles of backroads, but they can be a little clogged. After, there is an on ramp to a highway, then an immediate two lane crossover to the Interstate with some fun turns. I really give it the beans in this little section and pass all the slow cars I was stuck behind on the backroads. At that point, there’s about 12 miles of interstate that can go really fast, or be a dreary < 1000rpm painful excursion in clutch jackrabbiting if there is a wreck.
