Spend the $100-200 for the plane ticket to get up there and maybe $100 in gas to get back home. You'll save a couple thousand dollars off the price of the car.
True. We'll see what happens. I can just always think it's a short out of town trip for me and the wife.

4 hours is nothing. If you want the car then do it.

what kind of deal are we looking for again?

Anaheim has a GSR SSS for $27,199 rebate included, and CANNOT be combined with 0% APR. What I dont get is, Anaheim and South Coast are supposedly the biggest volume seller, but they cant combine 0% apr like Serramonte. Maybe Serramonte is losing a lot more money compared to Anaheim and South Coast while EVOs sit in their lot.

They are losing money on the Evos, at least thats what their sales manager told me when I was signing papers for my car. I don't think he lied about it too... they are mainly a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealer, and just selling Mitsubishis on the side (I guess). It sounded like a "for-real" clearance pricing to me, not the fancy gimicks other dealers are doing.

Really? $29,199 without the rebate? Can you post a link? I can't seem to find it. The thing is, I spoke with Evan last weekend and he quoted me $28,999 without rebates with 0% financing. I went there thinking that I'll be driving home with one, but Hector, the manager, said that Evan must be mistaken. Their price is $28,999 WITH rebate. So I was like, HUH?? I need you guys to honor the quote, but he said... No. Oh well....

^ Don't pass this up IMO, this is your chance! Can't get any cheaper than that in SoCal.

The Evos left in Serramonte are loaded ones, Daskid is looking for one with SSS package only. I say go to Anaheim since you live close to it, and get the car of your dreams.

Just take a fully loaded one and quit crying over the $2,000 difference.

Look at it this way: it's a $2,000 mod, so you can wait a little longer before you begin to dump thousands more into your car.
