I installed the drivers side without any problems. Got to the passenger side and... hmmm, the seatbelt harness itself is attached to the original recaro rail, and not the B-Pillar... The Bride rail for the passenger side doesnt have a bracket for the seatbelt harness...

Anybody have any ideas how I can install my passenger BRIDE seat and how creative I have to get to get my 3-pt functional?

Thanks in advance.

Antics,

E Auto in El Monte has done clean Bride installs for their X. I'm about to get mine installed on Friday. I highly suggest getting in contact with them to have your seat installed esp since I see that you're in So Cal as well. Hope that helps

Thanks for the suggestion. I would seek help from them, except I cant see how it could possibly work unless I got the wrong passenger side rail, or if custom welding needs to take place.

Here are pictures for reference of the passenger side seatbelt anchor point so you can see what I'm talking about...

THIS ANCHOR BOLT HAS NOWHERE TO MOUNT TO SINCE THE BRIDE PASSENGER RAIL DOESN'T HAVE A PLACE FOR IT TO MOUNT TO.... (my b-pillar trim is out because I was hoping there was a bung there maybe behind/under the carpeting...)

HERE IS THE SAME BOLT BUT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. NO PROBLEMS HERE SINCE THE BOLT ANCHORS TO THE B-PILLAR TOWARDS THE BOTTOM...

So basically, the strange thing is: The passenger side seatbelt anchor bolts to the original Recaro seat rail, whereas the drivers side anchors to the B-pillar....

anyone? anyone?

if memory serves me correct, there is like an "L" type bracket on the passenger side. could you not somehow "Tap" or "weld" or "screw" this to the$ bride rail?

yea, this is the bracket youre talking about...

I guess I can WELD it to the BRIDE rail.... but what do people do who aren't as creative? I mean, is BRIDE expecting people to just wing it with no seatbelts???? I would have thought theres provisions for the passenger side. I mean, am I missing something here? Did I get the wrong rail?

Our Bride rails came like that too. I don't know why Bride dropped the ball on that.

We used that stock bracket, and bolted it to the Bride rail.

I've enclosed E Auto's contact info as requested:

E-Autosports
1938 Tyler Ave.#M.
S. EL Monte.CA 91733
Tel:626-444-1108
PayPal/Email: evom@e-autosports.com

Antics: After looking at your photos, I sort of get the idea and what you're facing. I guess I'll find out if I encounter the same problem on Friday. Hopefully not, but looks like a common problem so far. E Auto explained the install to me as easy as 1 2 3, so doesn't seem like it should be such a difficult install. Their mechanic over there is called William. Sorry I am of no use at all.. haha..

Thanks for the info on E- Auto. My Brides are going in next week. I have to wait 3-4 weeks for the Vorgas, so I decided on XAX II.

Okay... so here is what I got straight from BRIDE and I guess its the most obvious solution but surprisingly, TOTALLY OVERLOOKED... I guess I was overthinking this!

According to them, take that STOCK L-Bracket off the original seat. Flip it right side up and BOLT IT DOWN to the rear seat bracket bolt. Simple enough, right? Total SPACE CADET MOVE on my end.

Thanks to HYBRIDR for posting/confirming the bracket and putting me at ease as well....
