Anyone WITHOUT mudflaps getting chips in BACK?
For those without mudflaps (Rally Armor, stock, etc), are you getting any paint chips on your rear bumper cover?
I am thinking of removing my rear mudflaps and am deciding whether or not I should install a clearbra over the affected areas of the rear bumper cover.
Thoughts?

I ended up with some little scratches on mine at under 1500 miles so I ordered the rallyarmor mudflaps.I haven't had any got anything else since then. Our tires just picks up everything and flings it all over the place. Before I put the mudflaps on I would hear things hitting the side of my car as I drive and now I don't notice anything hitting my car.

My bumper has a lot of knicks/hits but it is only on the underside. Nothing you can see while standing there. I added the RA mudflaps. I actually am liking the look now. I am getting Ventureshield installed anyway just so I can enjoy the drive more without hearing every little tink hitting the rear....even with the RA's on there. Ventureshield on the hood front bumper, front fenders and rear doors and skirts. Leaving the rear bumper, like I said it is only peppered on the underside.
5000 miles, no chips on the side no chips on the front bumper.. just.... no chips. I guess road quality really decides whether you are getting the chips or not; plus i usually avoid going behind large trucks. I live in houston Texas, and I thought the road qualities are bad here. No clue how the chips happen.

And since you mentioned following large trucks, I was on the highway travelling at about 100 km/h (roughly 60 mph), I was on the far left lane, and a big truck was on the far right lane. The truck managed to shoot a rock at an angle and hit my windshield. And that f*cking rock was probably a bit bigger than a quarter, so it instantly cracked my windshield. I'm just thankful it's near the bottom corner and doesn't obstruct my view.
But back to the original topic, I don't have mudflaps on my car, but no chips on the rear bumper cover. All my chips are on the back doors and side skirts.
