Evo X Grill mesh/net

Does anyone know where I can purchase the exact same type of OEM grill mesh for the evo X???

I talked to the dealer (Canada) and they say it will cost $186 just for the lower piece that covers the intercooler. They call it a "Net".

I need a piece of this mesh so I can remove my fog lamps and replace them with just the wire mesh.

Thanks in advance for any info!

Cheers

Pay your local home improvement store a visit. Browse around and if you're in luck, you might find something similar to it.

Whoa whoa whoa... Stop. He's not covering the vents up, he's giving them MORE airflow by opening them up...

There is a Fog Delete Kit available, no need to go through the work of cutting it out or anything. I don't have the part number, but I know if you search this forum for "Fog Delete", you'll find lots.

Here's one:

Look close at your car. One is open, one closed. The mr has both open for the trans cooler.

This... is wrong, its really just two styled fog lights, Even the MR and The RS editions got rid of them.

I'm not covering em up, nor do I want "something similar". I want the "same" mesh, as I stated in the original post

I'll check that link out, thanks for it my man!

I really should of read what you wanted to buy.I took the plastic piece by the fog light off and replaced it with the mesh.I am still sure that if you wanted to delete the whole fog light it still wouldn`t be that much.If you are just looking for more airflow taking the placitc piece off and replacing it with the mesh one will suffice.

Here's what I got so far...

Cheap, easy, and light. I got this stuff for free and its the best I've tried so far...other expanded aluminum I tried looks to bulky. The 0.051 expanded aluminum is special order and will take a few weeks.

...not sure if I'll paint these black yet...

you can buy any aluminum mesh, cut to fit, then seal it to the bumper. relatively easy to do.
