So I went from E46 M3 to Evo X now going to 335
i also just came from an 2006 e46 m3 with comp. the x does handle better and feels faster then the m3 because it has more torque but the m3 has much better top end and its more linear. as far is the 335i is concerned i would say just go for the e92 m3 if its in your budget...

Your EVO is a POS. Not mine. I've yet to have any problems after 6 months. Which is more than I can say about my BMW when I first purchased it. What issues did you have? When you say something that strong its good to back it up with actual info.

By the way to the person who said there bmw had problems my m3 didn't have one issue for the 3 years that I had it. I could honestly say if I had more money I would still have my m3 and this evo....sigh....
It seems like you may have more money than you know what to do with my friend... which isn't a bad thing if you have it and you can spend it then by all means go for it. I would have done a bit more research the mileage and such that you have complained about with the Evo before buying it, but some people aren't as research oriented as I am... i'm like that to a fault though.. do it with something that costs 5.00.. I always check everything that I can about a product before I buy it and if it is what is best for me. Of course I just did get laid off (didn't see that one coming) and wish I now had a lower car payment... or that I could at least get out of mine what's owed on it... if interest rates weren't so low I might be able to and buy a WRX premium... it's not the car the Evo is, but it's quick, similar kind of, gets better mileage and might help to ease the pain of losing the Evo... I just can't see going to an RA... it's sort of a gay looking car.
Then I test drove a MR. It was so much fun that I forgot about its interior.
I don't think it's a lack of research on his end. I'm sure he was well aware and opted to try and live with the issues he mentioned. In the end things change and this is an example.
Going from an sti to a 135, you will love the speed but hate how small it is. The 135 is literally like a matchbox inside but fast as hell! Faster then the evo and sti's even if their modded. The MR is nice if you don't want the short gears of the five speed gsr and the gsr evo x is nice if you still want a fast car like the sti. I'd say evo for handling and spaciousness and 135 for sheer power and better gearing. You see what I chose, I was going to get a 335 but test drove my gsr and didn't need to look any further.
Dont forget if you get a gsr you WILL need a clutch, 135 you won't.
Dont forget if you get a gsr you WILL need a clutch, 135 you won't.I have an 2006 STi and it cruises great on the highway but I'm ready to make a change. I've been looking at the BMW 135i and the EVO X. The 135i handles really well...not as good as the EVO, not many cars do from the factory. I just can't seem to make up my mind...All-Wheel-Drive because I live in Boston but the car would be a DD. I don't know and I really like both cars, I guess if the BMW came down just a bit in price. The funny thing is when I drive my STi everything is alright...it's when I'm sitting around thinking about newer cars that I get the bug! LOL! I love cars with power and handling.
