So I went from E46 M3 to Evo X now going to 335
Can't speak for the E46 330 ZHP, but I love the way they look and think they would be nice daily drivers!
I do agree with you. If you prefer a MT AWD performance car the GSR is a perfect car. Mitsu just forgot a long 6th gear for decent highway cruising - only flaw I can see (doesn't apply to me because I barely ever drive on highway).
for me it was 2 reasons... first being that the MR's mileage has not shown to be that much better than the standard GSR... second... some people don't have thousands of extra dollars to spend on the MR.
I had a 2006 M3 w/Competition Package before I bought my 08 Evo X. I made the switch because I got a new job that made my commute longer ( 70 miles each way) and I would occasionally need a back seat to drive people around. I thought the Evo X would be a good compromise between the M3 and my goal of the ultimate daily driver.
Well, after owning the car for 8 months and putting 17k miles on the car, I have finally decide to trade the Evo in for a BMW 335. My biggest gripes about the Evo were no 6th gear for highway cruising (which is 95% of what I do) and a extremely small gas tank. If Mitsubishi would have put a 6th gear (with a reasonable overdrive) and a 15-18 gallon gas tank, it might be a damn perfect car.
Its a great car and I will certainly miss it.

Not a bad choice
