how much are you paying for insurance

I'm going to be jumping into an evo x soon and just wanted to see what the avg price it is to cover the car with insurance.

I'm coming from an s2000, so I know how covering a sports car can get crazy high sometimes. Ill be turning 25 in a few months also, so yay for that discount.

Your coverage is kinda low.

I'm 24 with an at-fault accident in 2008. I have 100/300/50 coverage with a 750 deductable and I pay 3000 a year.

That coverage is dangerously low. It'd be almost impossible to get out of a serious accident without hospital bills > $10,000. It gets worse if there's more than 2 people in the car (accident maximum $20,000). I don't even think that meets the state minimum requirements in Ohio.

OP, there are bunch of threads like this that get started in the general section. This one is the most definitive, and you should probably discuss further there instead of here:

paying roughly $550/6 months for full coverage, $500 deductibles, etc. Down from $790/6 months on a 2005 Evo 8.

I think the X has lots of safety features (octagonal frame, tons of airbags, etc) that make it cheaper to insure than an 8/9.

I'll be 26 in November. Have 100/300/100 all with $100 deductibles and I pay $970 a year. I have no at fault accidents on my license. I have 1 comprehensive claim from hitting a deer on my motorcycle. I've been with the same insurance company since I've had my drivers license. I was quoted between $1100 and $1400 a year (with higher deductibles) from all of the commercially advertised companies.
