I guess that's fair enough. It does sound like variations of an SRT-4.

exhaust-wise, i have notice that most after-market models are considerably quieter than the equivilant (if available) ones for the ct9a. only a few bring out a nice loud note. i use a axle-back legamax and only after it has warmed up, does it sound louder than stock. still waiting on the mid-pipe to my car more vocal.

engine-wise, the 4b11 sounds like a empty blender set on "high" when revving above 5k. it feels like the tc-sst adds to this as well. i am guessing this is an unfortunate side effect of now using a timing chain and having the snail right in front of the firewall.

I think it sounds 3 series Bmw-ish more than anything. It's very metallic and mechanical sounding.

VQs are throaty, and moan their way down the street.
Sti /SRT-4 -Have that big, coffee can sized cylinder, bubbly sound.

Sadly enough it probably will be. It's fair to say that MOST of the exhausts on the market for the Evo X are loud. Most as in 4 out of 5.

resonated test pipe and o2 downpipe...

if you are getting the mini muffler option, it'll be a little quieter than mine. that exhaust doesnt sound raspy at all, and i was really worried about it when i ordered mine. . . i love the setup i got, but if you are worried about it being too loud, the mini mufler option would work for you

I agree, and this is pretty disappointing to me. I was in the Si the other day, and had forgotten how amazing that engine sounds up high. It can't compete with the Evo's nice rumble down low, but it sounds great up high.

In another thread on here, some Evo 8 owner said the X sounded like a tractor.
