I can understand why young guys may diss the TC-SST but as you age you accumulate more daily hassles (wife, kids, pets, career, etc) and not having to shift a car 50 times in less than a mile of slow moving city traffic is one less hassle I have to put up with. Sure it takes some of the rawness and connection from the driving experience but I've got 20 years of rawness behind me and I don't miss it now.
well said, im 20 and i can respect the fact that the SST is available in the evo..if i had the money i would have gotten the MR no doubt..i wished they brought the GSR-SST to the states. cause have driven manual cars my whole 4 years of driving lol and im already getting tired of it as a daily thing.

I'm in my 30's as well and have owned nothing but manual cars all my life. While I agree with your above post 100% I just could not bring myself to buy the TC-SST. Purchasing a performance car with the traditional stick and pedal was the only way to go for me. I have no regrets about my decision and I enjoy the feeling of shifting the car myself. Bravo to Mitsubishi though for their innovative new transmission design that allows their customers even more choice when it comes to the Evo.

GSR here. Getting this car with anything but a traditional manual just didn't seem right to me. I wish I could've gotten the MR interior with a traditional manual though.

About 65% of my shifts are good, 35% acceptable but definitely not good. I've driven 3 manual tranny performance cars as a DD and I never really got the hang of either of the 3 so it's definitely something that I'm not "getting." Everyone that rides with me says I drive it great but to me it always feels clunky when engaging 2nd and 3rd.
