Differences between USDM, JDM and EDM Evo X
Differences between USDM, JDM and EDM Evo X
Taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubi...on#Evolution_X
Torque:
JDM - 422 N·m (311 lb·ft)@3500rpm
USDM - 407 N·m (300 lb·ft)@4400rpm
EDM - 366 N·m (270 lb·ft) at 3500 rpm
This difference in torque. Is it only from a factory tune and mivec timing ? Or something else ? Turbine wheel, etc ?

The peak torque rpm - It is due to titanium aluminide / aluminum wheel being standard on JDM turbo (inconel/aluminum is still optional), it seems the same applies to EDM
ECU tuning is possible, since Japan market is tuned for 100 RON (94 MON) whereas in the US they need to meet at least 91 MON unless they want to differentiate CA and few other states like some Japanese cars did. European models probably have one or two extra cat, as it was the case for IX

With the EVO X's - the biggest difference between the regions is the price (the other regions wish they can get US pricing). Feature wise the USDM's are in parity with the other models (AYC and etc) unlike the older models.
In regards to peak torque, somebody needs to take a look at the USDM dyno chart w/ the Japanese MIVEC Map (for example, gunzo's maps) and see if peak torque shifted any.

The UK model is a totally different version than anyother evo x avaiable now. i believe it is because the colt car company resells mitsu cars and can modify their cars and still cover them under warranty.
