wiper size

This could be a silly questions. Winter is coming up, wipers are slightly worn down, squeaky noises, uneven spread, etc. What size should I get for the driver and passenger side? Any particular brands you guys just have to have that works in light rain... possibly snow when visiting family?

I remember that I got some expensive ones last winter at wal-mart for 20 bucks a pop and one of the wipers did not have a good contact patch even though they were supposed to push harder against the windshield due to their winter design. They were the most expensive ones I could find (assuming they were the best) but they are not good for the X. In case you find them at wal-mart, better test out in the parking lot, and return them immediately if they do not work. Other than that, I dunno what to tell you.

Driver side: 26"
Passenger: 18"

I'm using Rain-X Latitude wipers for about 7 months now and so far so good.

I did a quick check on PIAA's website, its shows the EVO IX with a 24" on the driver side... But nothing for the X, should I just measure the factory stock one just case?

Thanks for the info. Does anyone have a brand to recommend? I kept on hearing Bosch from the STI folks, and the honda folks always go for the PIAAs. I don't really care, I just want it to work, with acceptable noise, and good functionality.

Bosch Micro Edge Excel are a pretty good wiper for the money. Bosch Icons are pricey but supposed to be good (not sure about on the lancers specifically).

I have DuPont wipers, the flexible things, and they seem to be working pretty good.

I havent really looked that close at the wipers but does anyone know if u can just buy the wipe inserts from mitsu. I know for some cars they make it so u dont have to replace the whole wiper itself.
