I just bought some sta-bil or something from autozone, as well as a Schumacher charge maintainer (sem-1562a). Looks like it got decent reviews on amazon. Im gonna jack up the car tonight and I guess that will be that!

Hi. I DON'T use a stabilizer because I start the car about once a week. I got my trickle charger at Sears. It's a Craftsmen. I got the one that has an 'instant starter' so you can just hit that switch to start the car if you have ANY issues with a battery, etc. It is about 5 years old and I bought for just under $50.00 .

Meh I didn't use fuel stabilizer last year and was fine. I just started the car once a week and drove out of my locker, down the row and back a few times, and back in. Seemed fine.

When you hook up the trickle charger, do you guys disconnect both negative and positive terminals from the battery?

^ No. I don't diconnect anything. A trickle charger maintains your battery's power/strength by conditiong it in a steady, safe and constant manner.

Just leave it like you would drive it and plug the positive of the trickle charger to the positive terminal on your battery, and the negative of the trickle charger onto the negative terminal on the battery and you'll be good to go.

Also remember to put some collinite wax on the car to keep the paint protected.

I recommend moving to California. I have no idea what you're talking about, storing the car in the winter...
