Talking THANK YOU Dr. EVOL

I drive a 2009 Lancer GT and my bluetooth was locked from the original owner. I saw the post from Dr. Evol and decided to try it but with no luck.. so i tried searching other forums to see if they had another trick i could try.. (i even called my local dealership to see if they can do it for me. it got tricky though coz the first place said they'd charge me but the second place i called said, they can do it in their drive-thru service for free but they can't guarantee it would work..) i came across similar ones online and found that some people say do it 2x under 10 seconds, and some 3x under 10 seconds. For me i tried both but the 3x under 10 seconds was the one that unlocked my bluetooth. Just remember to count out 2 full seconds and maybe waiting 1-2 seconds in between before doing the next hold.

Goodluck!

I have the same issue. Does it need to be on the bluetooth radio or just turn it to the on position?

This code is only used when the customer makes specific changes to the profile for that device and customers may forget what code they entered during the original pairing procedure. If the vehicle is equipped with handsfree module part number 8785A003, use the following reset procedure to reset all passcodes and clear the system:

* Turn the ignition to the ON position.
* Press and hold the "hang-up" button for 2 seconds.
* Release the button and repeat 2 times. Do not exceed 10 seconds total time.

The customer can now re-register the handsfree device with a new passcode and change its profile.
What is the "hang-up" button?

Hold SETTINGS and MAP button for 4 seconds. Then you should figure your way through the menu.

'08-10 models are not equipped with the FUSE system (FUSE System allows you to stream music and transfer phonebook contacts with the hands free system)

Dude you are a savior! Created an account just to thank you.
Held SET and NAVI button for 4s it showed a secret menu which had a disable passcode option.
