Nobody out-of-state is going to buy a car in California because Ahnold will make you pay 9% sales tax even if you are taking it home. The dealer can ship it to your dealer and then you are free of the CA sales tax burden.

If you ever know a friend that has leased a car before, please go ask him what he thinks of leasing a car. paying 400 dollars for a mitsubishi yet not owning it is not smart at all. the cost in the end will be much much more than the 37k you are thinking about...(i mean much much more)

speaking from personal experience, if you are NOT a sales or realty agent who need to drive customers around, don't lease it. you are spending more than 15000 dollars on something that you are not owning until another 15k (most likely more) on a car that is 3 years old...

try to look up online, or ask friends who have done it before. if you ask me again would I ever do it again? HELL NO.

I'm actually a salesman for another company I figured maby see about leasing to own since the total number works out to 37,1xx in the very end of things which seems like a reasonable price. I don't make payments on any of the other things I have which is nice and I plan on starting another business in summer/fall so It would be nice to not have a $400 a month plus e85 gas and insurance on yet another car monthly. But I really want the evo. Hell maby I trade the bmw for it and a few gs.

I leased an STi in 2006. I actually traded it in a year and a half later (yes, you can trade leases no penalty), and i did mod the crap out of it. As far as mileage and mods go, if you keep the car at the end, they dont care.

Usually, end of lease finance options are worse than purchase options by about 3%, unless you have a credit union or something. You can also usually refinance leases into a purchase, as it has a buyout price that varies on how long you've had it.
