FYI: 2010 Evo X Plastic Valve Cover

Some sad news today for any of those who are planning to get a 2010 and may want to sport an exposed valve cover...

Apparently, MMC decided to go with a plastic valve cover for 2010's!!
I don't know if it's due to cost, or NVH???
Nevertheless, it definitely does not look as nice as the aluminum that some guys are sporting.

I think you are mistaken. The change from 2008-09 to 2010 is that the plastic cover that we have that is red and black is not made of a type of fiber which is less expensive and weighs less.

The valve cover IS NOT plastic

I remember in 2008 Subaru going to a plastic intake manifold, but not plastic valve covers.

Outlander V6 has a plastic intake manifold (and that's with a variable intake, no less).

Dih, dih-dih! Thanks for the insight! LOL!

For all those doubters, I'll do my best to remember to take a pic when I get home.

But trust me...it's plastic!
