2008 or 2010 X
I can get a great deal on a new 2008 EvoX but I just dont now if I should waste the extra money on a 2010 X.
Also what model is more MOD friendly GSR or MR?

GSR is more mod friendly depending on how much power you want.
I like the 2010 for one main reason. The LED display is awesome. Some may say it's stupid but that's what you see 95% of the time.

0.0% is available on 2010 on Mitsubishi's website as of this evening. UNLESS the 08 is 8K off, I would go with the 2010. 0.0% actually new, improvements to center gauge with color display new blacked out tails, and improved SST mapping (if you are looking at MR) have its 0-60 at 4.6 seconds. In fact for all of those reasons I bought a 2010 over an 08.

Test drive both. See what you like. But dont forget, a new car is a new car. A brand new 2008 is actually a 2 year old model which keeps on getting raped with depreciation every day it sits on the lot.

The financing terms on the 2010 are for 36 months @ 0%, not the full 60 months. So be aware of that.
There should be a significant markdown on the 2008. I think a "new" 2008 base GSR should sell for around $26k excluding taxes. NADA has a low miles 2008 GSR estimated at $28k.

Personally, I would try to get a smoking deal on a 2008 (maybe $26k out the door?) and have them throw in some goodies like oil changes and a detail or two. The total cost of ownership would be far less for essentially the same car/performance. LED display notwithstanding.

but go for the 2010...2+ years is a lot of time for a car to be just sitting there.
For 2010, anyone know if you can now order the MR interior for the GSR, or order the new MR Touring leather interior for a GSR? I would think in the 2nd year of production that more variety is available when ordering these cars from the dealer. Thanks for the info.
^^^ those might contribute to better gravel protection coming off the front tire, but I wouldn't say they look better.
on topic, I'd say a 2010 may have more value to the buyer at this point, especially that the zero percent 5 year loan offer has been withdrawn on 2008's, they really are used cars now, plus a couple of improvements on the '10's.
