AMS Widemouth Downpipe/02 housing - visible frm the engine bay with an AEM intke box?

Hey guys, has anyone installed the AMS Widemouth Downpipe, which I believe replaces the 02 housing as well. In order to not draw too much unwanted attention, I was wondering if you pop the hood can you see the shiny downpipe, or "AMS" stamped on the pipe, or would the AEM intake box hide it? Thanks.

Look in your engine bay. Can you see the stock O2 housing? The AMS one will be the same way just shiny.

Farmerbob, you posted the same question in the Engine / Turbo / Drivetrain section and it's against the rules (and annoying).

I can see mine. The airbox is on the complete opposite side of the engine bay so it's irrelevant.

uh, isnt the intake and downpipe on opposite sides?

But the heat shield will cover it.

The heatshield will cover it a bit, but not entirely. My UR o2/dp has a blackpainted heatwrap on it, so its still visible but you could tell unless you were specifically looking for it. It would just look like a wrapped downpipe. Then again anyone with some sense would realize the owner most likely wouldnt take off the stock DP h/s off just to wrap it.

AMS? Shiny? Why would you see the AMS widemouth O2 housing/downpipe shining?

But you can have one polished! It would look amazing if someone where to have it polished. With such a thick casting there would be some really cool colors that would show up.

To answer the OP question. No the intake box will not cover it. The stock heat shields cover most of the pipe but not all of it.
