So i put the wrong fuel in today

was at a local gas station that ive never been to before because my fuel light was on.
every gas station i go to always has 93 on the right side of the buttons, but this one wanted to be different and switch it with 87.
Luckily i caught it before i filled my whole tank. 4 gallons got in. so i decided to put 4 gallons of 93 in and shift the car before 3k rpms until all the bad gas is out of the tank.
any other tips or suggestions would be awesome
Thanks,

If you are completely stock, then don't worry about it. Your car will likely run just fine on the mixture.

Would octane booster help in this situation?

no octane booster is like .3 octane. Just run this tank VERY low and then fill up. Just stay out of boost as much as possible.

At least it wasn't diesel. But, yeah, just take it easy on the boost. This is the same deal for VTEC engines.

You will be fine. If your engine starts to knock from the low octane fuel, the ECU will switch to a different timing / fuel map to protect the engine. This is all if you tuner kept the low octane timing / fuel map.

I would be nice to it for what you have left in your tank. If your Evo drinks gas like mine, it will only be about 75 miles anyway.

the manual has a page for situations like this - it says 87 can be used temporarily and i believe it also said just stay light on the pedal until the next fill.

Unless you have a VERY aggressive tune, with your mods I think you will be fine, certainly if you stay under medium boost (20psi?). We California chumps live on 91 and can safely boost 26psi on a good, safe tune. Could ask your tuner as well to confirm.

At the time you filled up, sounds like you had a few gallons of 93 remaining in the car too. So the average octane of the mix you have in the car now should be ~91.5-91.8
