that's a prefilter. you need a filter that's after the pump.

A fair question. I assume it is in the plastic casing that surrounds the stock fuel pump (I haven't disassembled mine to verify it). With the UR kit the plastic casing is replaced by the machined sleeve.

I wish the Blaqops kit had been available when I did mine. If there's any chance of you running E85 in the future then you should consider it--it has E85 safe lines.

What that is, is a machined sleeve for a Walbro 255lph fuel pump. It's not a filter or anything else. Just a sleeve for the new pump to sit in. Hint the option at the bottom to add a fuel pump.

Yes i understand that. I wasn't sure though if I would need to buy an aftermarket fuel filter if i just replaced the pump and got the sleeve. Though it seems that using the sleeve will replace the factory fuel filter and a new inline fuel filter will be needed. correct?

my other question was that if i just use the "how to" and dont get an install kit, would i still need to install an inline filter?

Your question piqued my curiosity, so I did take apart the pump. I think my theory was correct...the outer sleeve that the stock pump sits in is the fuel filter. If you remove the sleeve then you'll need an inline filter.

I know there are a couple companies working on progressive inline pump solutions that retain the stock pump. You could look into one of those if you don't want to add a filter for some reason.
