not to hijack the thread, but im looking into a boost controller too, never had a boosted car before this. but i let my girlfriend drive my X sometimes whenever im at home in houston and the power of the X scares her most of the time and i dont feel comfortable with her driving when not feeling comfortable. so with a boost controller can i turn the boost way down to where the car isnt too fast?

I thought the AEM you couldn't control boost directly only duty cycle im looking into a boost controler of some sort also. I was thinking about the GS 3 port, but dont have a tuner near me and it said it needed to be tuned after install so I dont know.

I'm a big fan of manual boost controllers though.

Not sure about the way this would work on an X, but I went with a GM 3 port solenoid and self tuned with ECUFlash, install took about 30 minutes, tuning maybe 2 hours total. The reason I like it is you have absolute control over how much boost at what RPM.
