I have bought this camera and taken it to the track a few days ago, with my Evo X. I have used the 1280 x 720 resolution in order to save space (I just had a 8Gb card), but I loved the wide angle. The sound is not as good, but inside the Evo, even my other cam (Full HD too) has weird sound when the windows are opened. With outside shots, you barely hear the engine. Next time, I am going to test the 1920x1200 (Full HD) resolution.

Inside Car Cam (attached with zip tie to the passenger seat...not too tight, unfortunately):

Cam mounted at the roof:

A short video-edit with me (Evo X) and my wife (Eclipse 4G) at the track:

The downside of this cam is the lack of a display, so you can check the image before shoting.

Best regards,
Ziki

I have one of these as well, very highly recommended.

I use it for skiing and mountain biking but I hear you can use it in a car as well?

I have the old one as well... no comparison

No hookup for external mic, which would help the sound a lot. However, there's no room for hooking up an external mic or a charger while the camera is in the case anyway.

There's a car charger for the camera, and you theoretically can film while it's charging, but while the camera is in the case, you can't access the USB port (which is what it uses to charge). Kind of defeats the purpose.

One more thing: the HD can't film upside down yet (like, if you mount it upside down, the video will be upside down). The regular one has an option to flip the video if you mount it upside down. You can change it in post processing, but it's just kind of annoying for now until they release the new firmware.
