a BOV flange alows you to mount a BOV to your intercooler pipe that is comming of your intake manifold, people that get an intake tube instead of the stock tube that lets you recirqulate your bov need a intake pipe with this so they can mount the bov, this also usually means the bov will vent to the atmosphere which you dont want unless you get the car tuned.

I'm confused now. I know it is a licp option with some companies.

But I believe you have to chose stock bov, since you got stock bov.

Different bov have different connection methods, so require specific flanges.
You can get a specific flange welded on at a later time.

OK, if you have stock BOV, it has a FLANGE sticking out of it, thats what goes in the hose connected to the bottome of it, if you get a tial BOV for example, it has no flange on it, so you must mount it to the intercooler pipe or buy a flange that makes it like the stock BOV, I just got my greddy Type S, which has no flange, so i bought a flange, mounted it to the bov and put it in the stock place and recirqulate it. If you are running the stock BOV you dont need that flange in the intercooler pipe.
