I'm 29 clean record and married.
I paid $220 with Prog.
Now $100 with USAA

USSA ftw. Huge difference between carriers. Funny thing E-surance said P
was the cheapest.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm with Progressive now since Geico had no interest in insuring Evos (crazy prices).

Wow 180 for insurance??!!??! That is insane. I am in kansas, 20, have 2-3 decent moving violations and I only pay 108 a month for my evo..I think it is 193 with my bike included. You need to move the hell out of WV! LOL but yeah you def need to go pick her up!!

I'm 23,married, in nc also have a Nissan Titan with 1 accident Usaa is saying is my fault and a claim for a stolen yamaha r1 and I got quoted $85 for a 2010 GSR..and I own a house... What u gotta do to get cheaper insurance is tell them u plan to only dive it 5k miles per year, daytime running lights, have a fire extinguisher in the car, take a drivers saftey course, u only drive 5-10 miles to work 1 way...stuff like that I did the same with my R1 and j paid $50 a month with full coverage at 17 years old

You're going through the wrong company. Give AAA a call, I'm sure they will cut down your payments significantly.

I went from Progressive to AAA, and had my insurance cut almost 60%. Was insane. Not trying to really sell AAA here, but I'm really happy with them.

I pay $145 / month for full coverage on my 08 X MR and 01 Ford F150 4x4.

USAA as well. My quote for a 2010 GSR was $40 / month!!! Seems entirely too low, plus they couldn't even pull up "Evolution" as a 2010 Lancer model. I'm sure it will rise once the accident that totaled my IX cycles around.

FWIW, married, 30 year old AD Army officer and have been with USAA for 10 years.

In a past life...

But seriously, no. Which is unfortunate since the rates for pretty much everything insured by them are awesome.

Oddly enough, Geico has been my best quote so far. Progressive was more expensive. I'll check out AAA, though. Maybe if I buy a standard membership they'll give me a better rate what will make up for the $50/year cost. =O

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions!

I have USAA and recently they have jacked up rates in Cali (about $90 per month and I'm old). sucks because they know what an evo is. They dinged me for a 30 percent increase this term. My other car is capable of doing 190 mph, but it only costs $55 per month.

I'm considering multiple strategies:
-sell it
-borrow unsecured credit for the remainder to get the title- then go liability insurance with it.
- become a drug dealer on the weekends
