As with all insurance companies, rates can be determined by city and state and as well with the amounts of coverage on a policy. Cheap limits on an insurance policy will offer cheap insurance per month/ per 6 months. Adding or subtracting med pay will raise or lower payment. I LMAO when I saw the surcharges that are placed on the EVO because its an EVO - the car could technically be its own brandname due to its separate category with insurance companies. Even though the rates are higher than the average vehicle, the performance of the vehicle makes it worth the extra amount, but I still LMAO anyway.

Congrats on the impulse buy, it was the same way with me. I was also suckered (gladly) into an MR test drive after I randomly decided to go look at cars one day. The thing sells itself. I only had my Jeep at the time so driving the MR was like flying a ****ing jet in comparison. Picked up my Evo six weeks later. Enjoy!

I wouldn't call a stock Evo slow, but I agree, a few simple mods and a tune goes a long way on an Evo.

Remember you dont have to marry the first pretty girl/car you test drive. Maybe try a GSR, shop around, check South Coast Mitsubishi for pricing (even with shipping it might be cheaper). Make an informed decision is all I am saying.

Oh wait, I'm chokin', I'm chokin'..........................

One of my friends got her license when she was 24. She bought a new 06 Civic at the time and her rates for living in hoboken NJ were like 2000 for 6 months because she was a new driver. She paid 20,000 for the Civic.

I went to South Coast to look at used STi's, and walked out with a brand new EVO. Never even gave it a second thought.
