Want to display your Evo X at a real autoshow? Look inside!!!
Kinda ironic that Mitsu NA can sponsor an event that encourages mods, and rewards judging points on heavier mods at these shows -- yet will blacklist and refuse warranty work on these same cars. Seems slightly underhanded that they can even advertise their vehicles in this manner.
"If the vehicle has a custom turbo with an advanced stand-alone engine control unit, the judges will expect that everything is installed in a manner that appears to be factory. Modifications, such as engine swaps, forced inductions, and custom engine work, will be rewarded more than basic bolt-on components (air intake, exhaust, etc)."
I can see where an engine swap would void the drivetrain warranty.. but voiding a warranty for properly installed aftermarket parts that meet or exceed the specs of factory parts should be illegal, imo.

The "winning" car is actually chosen by consumer online vote
There haven't been any good submissions because of this fear that warranties will be voided

Its the price we pay to play the game. Maybe I'm just that one single lucky sob, but my dealer has never once given me any issue concerning my mods and warranty work (and I have gone a bit to the extreme side of modification.

I'd consider it, but my car is still bone stock
I think they'll have other bone stock cars on display already
Plus, the only remaining autoshow left is New York. I'm in North Carolina. That's too far of a drive just to put my stock car on display
