Argh! Cant get bird **** stain off car!

I went away for xmas and parked my car in my garage for safety. It got cold and a bird was apparently able to circumvent my home security and infiltrate my basement. It delivered multiple playloads on my RR evo x. They could have sat for any time up to 10 days (the length of my trip).

I removed most easily, but there's two spots I can't get off. One's on the rear windshield (yes on the glass!). The other is on the hood, near the passenger window wiper.

I've tried everything I have. Even broke out my big guns: Scratch X, Pinnacle Clay Bar, bug & tar remover... no luck. WTF was this bird eating?!?!

Any tips for cleaning this mess up?

It may have eaten through the clear coat. I'm not sure if basic paint correction will rectify this problem. Good luck and keep us posted.

The window you can take a razor blade and scrape it off (w/ some windex also). The hood, I have no idea what you can do about that one...sorry.

scratch X should eventually get it.

but save yourself some time and go by a PC 7424XP... also get some duragloss #501 - if that doesn't get it off, then you will need to look at some fine polish, like megs #205..

i WOULDN'T use ANY of the above on the glass, just keep going with windex or whatever you guys have over there

Magic Eraser. I'm serious, just wax it as soon as you use it because it removes the wax, and don't rub super hard or you may remove the clear.

I tried scratch x for about 5 mins, and the clay bar for about 10 mins. I could feel it catching over the stains, but it didn't make any difference as far as I could tell. I'll try some polishing compound with a rotary buffer like you guys suggested. The one I have is pretty crappy (no pun intended) but its better than nothing.

thx for the suggestions! don't think I'll try the magic eraser just yet thats just asking for trouble

I had to get caterpillar **** stains off of a car and nothing worked except the magic eraser. It was also my last shot (after cleaner wax, compound, then clay bar), but it worked!

I'm not so much worried about it taking off the wax as I am about it stripping the clear coat. I'll keep it in mind though in case everything else (including seeing if the dealer take a stab at it) fails. thx

Yeah that magic erased is a very very fine grit sandpaper but works great. Don't rub in circles though or you'll get tons of swirlmarks. Rub lightly side to side, will remove it np. Then follow with light paint polish then wax

3m rubbing compound + rotary buffer does wonders.
