Trading 370Z for Evo X

I purchased 2009 Nissan 370Z after having the car for about 6 months. I have decided to trade my 370z for the new Evo X GSR. I wanted to get suggestions on if people think this is a good trade and how much I could get the 370z for?

You're going to lose a LOT of money. But if you like the X that much more, it is definitely worth it. I traded the Porsche 1.5 yrs after buying it... Lost a bunch of money, but I am MUCH happier now.

Dunno how much you'll get for your z. It will depend on the options, miles, and condition. But I don't think it's a bad move if you can handle the hit financially. Get intake, exhaust, and tune, and you won't miss any part of the performance of the 370. You will miss the interior though.

Dang man! that is alot of money. but it depends on you. i think its a pretty reasonable trade! its just the amount of money you spent on that 370z. but oh yeah, the interior in the 370 is way better than evos.

Sell it on your own, dealers really f*ck you when it comes to a trade in. If that is what you meant by trade.

I bout a cadillac ctsv and hated it and sold it to carmax after 1 month lost about 3k..I missed my old Evo IXs so I jus went with a X. MUCH happier now! and I originally had a 350z before my other 2 Evos..the interior is the only thing I would ever think about missing.

I managed to get a big discount on our MR. If you can do the same you might not get beat as badly.

Well, that is not totally true. Keep in mind you only pay taxes on the difference between your trade in price and price of the Evo. So depending on what they give you, you might be better off trading it in.

So do the math on it - you should easily be able to see what other 370Z's are selling for in your area, and then go see what the trade-in value is of your car, then make a decision which is best.

What's wrong with the 370Z? I'm not a huge fan of the 350/370Z cars but there are some things they do better than the EVO.

You should troll around in the for sale section for a trade...You'll end up owing and extra $10k if you buy new on trade in. What kind of freeway mpg's does it get?

the evo and sti for that fact have never made any promises to be "nice" cars on the inside
(and not nice on the outside in the case of subaru's) :P

Mitsu are giving you a hardcore driving machine with a state of the art awd system., yea it rattles, yes the stock stereo sucks, sure the brembo's may squeak, yea the ride can be stiff and hard...

WHO CARES!!!!

realize what the car is for what it is, its an AMAZING handling machine off the shelf for the $,
it rivals supercars with a few bucks invested into it and the right pilot.

you want "luxury" look at an audi or lexus etc etc...

as for the nissan, do the trade, i don't think you'll regret it if your after driving enjoyment.

In Jersey the the buyer pays the taxes when he goes to register the car in his name. It makes no sense that the seller would have to pay the taxes on the car unless he is making a profit off of it and normally you lose money when you sell a car. It makes no sense to pay taxes on something you already paid taxes on, you know. Its a whole double taxation thing and I don't think the government is allowed to do that.

Or...if you want a little bit of luxury, you can go with the MR Touring. No squeeks, rattles, nice leather heated seats, sun roof....you get the point. I traded in a modded C5 Corvette and Mazda 6 (loaded w/ options) for a '10 X MR-T and couldn't be happier.

I really like the 370Z. It was my second choice. I def like the 370 interior a hellava lot nicer than the Evo X, but these recaros are comfortable =D and you're giving up rev match! lol. I can image it's convinient. But hey, do as you like. Just remember that you'll take a big hit on your wallet. How many miles are on your car and what kinda condition is it in? The best way to find out how much your car is worth is to check the Z forums to see what the going cost is as well as KBB.
