I also hate the idea of modifying factory dampers with aftermarket springs just to achieve a drop. Just my $.02

For under 2 grand (About $1600) this is what I have accumulated:
Nisei UICP, LICP, and intake
AGP 3.5in IC
Open Element Filter
Cobb AP
Forge WGA
UR Shorty DP
Tsudo TP back exhaust
AEM UEGO
AEM Boost Gauge
Perrin Dual Pod
T1R Shift Boot

Add in an extra $350 for sway bars, and I will have a beast ready for almost anything.

Key is, always hit up the merchants for deals, and keep your eye on the classifieds.

My $.02

x2

This car definitely sits a high in stock form, but you would only hinder handling performance by just dropping it with springs. . .

Go with some dependable coilovers. You can definetly find some name brand coilovers for around $1200.

I would forget springs and get a set of $1000-$1200 street coilovers (you have an MR-T so I wouldn't guess it is going to see alot of track time.) That leaves $1000-$800. I would then get an exhaust. I would never buy an HKS drop-in, ever. Alot of people run them, I just think they suck.

I know that the 2010's have a WAY better tune than the 08's, but how much leaner is the '10 tune? Has anyone tested the afr's on a stock tuned '10 to see what an intake does to it?

good suggestion, i think i'm leaning that way as well. question, is it a must to get some kind of intake if you go with a catback exhaust?
