I had the OEM mudflaps installed when I bought the car, but then I live on a dirt road and drive in Vermont. I think they make a big difference.

Yeah the new side skirts really do work well. They should have come on the 2008's.

definitely get a set of RA mudflaps for sure... I do have some sandblasted looking paint as Noize called it, but it's on the front of the rear wheels... behind it is perfectly fine. I on the other hand am not one to say go with a clear bra... I think it's close to 1,000.00 to get the whole car done... i'd spend a little more, get it repainted the same color with MUCH thicker and better paint.

Whoa I didn't know the 2010 X's came with new side skirts. Man they'd be pretty handy especially here with all the damn rocks. I just got a nasty rock chip on my hood today after a semi shot up a rock the size of a penny.

I got mine through the dealership, but it might cost less if you go through someone else to do the clear bra.

The 2010 side skirts cover more swept area so rocks flung from the front wheels hit the bottom of the skirt rather than your back door/fener area where it flares out. The new skirts do a better job than mudflaps but together you would be set.

I've only got a couple small rock chips but I have 3M on the front and near the rear door/fender area. I avoid Deerfoot as that's where most of the damage is done in this city.

I wanted to scientifically show that mudflaps do work, so i only installed them on one half of the car. the results were amazing and proved that mudflaps are actually useful.
