that is why I am asking for people to post pics of their total mileage and then their fill up amount.

If you can, reset your meter when you fill up and by all means post pics of your total mileage and a pic of the pump when finished so we can get a much more accurate calculation.

22 MPG average. Not to bad... it's Ocean City traffic here, so there's got to be a lot of quick merging, plus I did take my friend on a bit of a wild ride and I know burned up quite a bit lol. What's funny to me is that at the time of the fill up the gas gauge is ALL the way down and showing no fuel at all. I would think it would come on maybe with 1 gallon left. I might have been able to get the 22 a few points over if I would have kept going, but I just didn't feel like running it out.

i wouldn't trust what your screen says in your car because that is giving you your mileage at any given point in time, whereas when you fill up you can get an exact number average of that tank. Divide distance gone on that tank, by how many gallons you bought.

on my gts I got about 270 miles on a tank when i had it, and fill up was about 13.5 gallons avg. so that = 20mpg with 87 octane. Sucky for the gts i know, but it has a 2.4L. having the 2L with that twin scroll turbo though acts like having a way bigger engine so thats why its rated for 16/17 city and 22 highway

^I am pretty sure he is doing it that way, but not positive. I'm guessing that is why he is showing 280 miles and 12.73 gallons.

BTW - do you always fill up the same? Meaning as soon as the gas clicks off you stop, or do you top it off/round up, etc.? It wouldn't have a huge impact if varied, but it could have some.

For efficiency experiments I'd rather make multiple trips to the Bunny Ranch (high priced whoores) and see how well I can utilize my hour, but to each their own.

Dude, i'm pressing the reset button on my dash AT THE PUMP and when I fill up AT THE PUMP, I am taking the picture and then filling it up COMPLETELY to where I can see the gas at the top of the tank.

I don't give a damn about your GTS because this is about Evo's. If you drive like a moron and can only get 20 or less out of an NA 2.4 that's your problem, but don't question me because I started this TO SHOW PROOF to those who wonder about mileage or are sucky drivers and can't get more than 200 miles out of a tankful.

noooo, I fill it up until I can see gas... many times it will spill over, but I use an EXCELLENT sealant (several coats actually) and wash it off when I get home.

^cool, I was wondering how closely you setup your "test bed" so to speak. I've never filled up my car to where I can see the gas at the top!

yeah, I can't do it any other way to be as accurate as possible, but I try to be as absolute as possible when it comes to this.

Indeed, you can get 99 mpg by coasting down off an expressway exit ramp and snapping a shot. If it exceeds that number it just displays lines...

I'll be logging my MPG to the Buschur Shootout closely and will post BOTH the on screen display as well as the pump readout and mileage traveled so we can see how they compare. I will be traveling 99% highway miles and "going for the legitimate record" with a real light throttle so we'll see how they match up!
